George Hampsten

George Louis Hampsten, 67, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019. Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 3 to 6 p.m., at Antioch Christian Church, Decatur, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses. George was born August 10, 1951, in Phoenix, AZ, son of Louis Ervin and Doris Adeline (Nauert) Hampsten. He married Ruetta Gibson and later married Rita of Decatur. George worked for Wagner Casting for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. George is survived by his mother Doris Bullock of Phoenix, AZ; sons: Jason M. Hampsten of Decatur and Adam D. Hampsten of Moweaqua; grandson: Louis Hampsten of Decatur, IL; sisters: Jenny Schafer and husband Dale of Oreana and Tina Spangler and husband Rick of Decatur; brothers: Dennis Hampsten and James Hoseapple, all of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father.
