Geneviva Grider, 73, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Heartland Nursing Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 5, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cemetery Hill, Albany, KY. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to donor's choice. Geneviva was born December 27, 1938, in Albany, KY, the daughter of Welby and Lucy Lee (Smith) Covey. She married Chester A. Grider on May 9, 1953, in Albany, KY. Geneviva loved to travel and enjoyed deer and mushroom hunting. Surviving are her children Lonnie G. Grider of Cerro Gordo, IL, Linda "Susie" Curtis and husband Jon of Bloomington, IL, Dianna "Rose" Grider of Decatur, IL, Bonnie L. Yowell and husband Lowell of Cerro Gordo, IL, Bobby G. Grider and wife Melinda of Decatur, IL; brother J.B. Covey and wife Alice of Rossville, GA; and sister Judy Jernigan of Winchester, KY.; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Geneviva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son William Paul Grider, brother Rob Covey, and sisters Abbie Logue, and Eugina Driver. "
