Genevieve (Genny) Warren Richmond, formerly of University City, Missouri, and currently of Decatur, IL, left this life to be with her heavenly father on September 8, 2020 at the age of 102. Born April 17, 1918 in Casper, Wyoming, daughter of William and Anna (Forfang) Warren, contractor and teacher, Mrs. Richmond was reared in Flora, Illinois and married Leonard Richmond on February 26, 1949. Mrs. Richmond worked at International Shoe Company in Flora, Illinois and left there to attend business school in St. Louis. During WWII, she worked in an ammunition plant and at Warner-Robbins Hospital in Macon, Georgia, eventually settling in St. Louis and becoming a homemaker. Leonard was an electrical engineer with Sverdrup-Parcel International Engineering Firm and Genny and he lived in Chicago; LA; Lafayette, Indiana; Gulfport, Mississippi; and Huntsville, Alabama while he was on job assignments, always returing to their home in St. Louis. Mrs. Richmond became a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in 1945. She was a church Elder; a member of the Evangelism Commission; chairperson of the Deaconesses and Parish Life Commissions; parish visitor; and a past president of the Trinity Bowling League, which she bowled on for 25 years. She organized the correspondence program of shut-ins for many years. Genevieve was dedicated to her church and her family. Genny was a gourmet cook and an excellent seamstress who became adept at millinery during the 1950’s. She also played Bridge. She is survived by her sister, Catharine (Gene) Daniels of Tuscola; and brothers, Curt (Tina) Warren of Morris and Jim (Nancy) Warren of Fairfield, Illinois; 19 nieces and nephews and their offspring; and a multitude of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Leonard; brothers: Bob, Galen, and Jack; sisters: Hazel Colclasure and Betty Current; and seven nieces and nephews. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home will be making arrangements for cremation and a memorial service for family members will be held at a later date. "
