Geneva Gleespen

Geneva D. Gleespen, 91, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 6:17 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to: St. James or St. Patrick Catholic Church. Geneva was born February 20, 1922, in Harvel, IL, the daughter of Arthur R. and Nellie (Yowell) Atchison. She married Howard J. Gleespen in 1944, in Wichita, KS. He preceded her in death. Geneva was a homemaker. She enjoying camping and was a member of Central Illinois Campers Club. Surviving are her daughter: Donna (Carter) Morrison of Putman, IL; son: Bill (Brenda) Gleespen of Tolono, IL; daughter: Jean Williams of Danville, IL; grandchildren: Kimberly (Matthew) Ritchie of Tolono, IL; Andy Williams of Danville, IL; Meggie (Brad) Dixon of Phoenix, AZ; Bart (Navonna) Morrison of St. Louis, MO; and six great-grandchildren.
