Gary Lloyd Trammel, 68, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on May 20, 1956 in Decatur, the son of the late Ward and Virginia Mae (Huffman) Trammel.

Gary served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a truck driver. He previously had worked at ADM in Decatur. He also loved to fish.

He is survived by his 3 sisters, Chari Pilcher of Decatur, Terri (husband Danny) Smothers of Lovington, IL, and Jeri (husband Arnie) Jeffers of Decatur; 1 aunt; 1 uncle; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother-in-law.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Cremation rites were accorded. A graveside inurnment will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery, in Springfield, IL on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
