Gary L. Saner, 70, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away May 10, 2020, at Hickory Point Christian Village in Forsyth, Illinois. A private family graveside services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, Illinois. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society. Gary was born on February 27, 1950, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of George Edward and Naomi (Nabb) Saner. Gary loved his family. He enjoyed collecting guns, woodworking, crafts, and was a skilled artist. He worked at Wagner Castings for 20 years as a molder and at Miles Chevrolet for 20 years as a car salesman. Gary was a member of the Rolling Prairie Corvette Club and the NRA. Surviving are his children: Kari Calhoun and husband Daniel of Decatur, Illinois, and Brandon Saner of Forsyth, Illinois; granddaughter Juliana Saner of Forsyth, Illinois; brother Mark E. Saner of Decatur, Illinois, and long-time fiancée Marla K. Darsham of Forsyth, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents.
