Gary Lee Plummer, 70, of Oreana, Illinois, passed away on February 4, 2025.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 9, 2025 also at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Cancer Care of Central Illinois or to Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Gary was born December 12, 1954, the son of Eldon and Lois (Kovach) Plummer. He married Julie Doane on June 2, 1984 in Argenta, IL.

He worked as a Union Electrician for IBEW #146 and was a member of First Christian Church in Decatur. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, loved going to Disney World, and most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Gary is survived by his wife of 40 years, Julie; stepson Nicholas (Shelby) Allen, of Lincoln IL; grandchildren Kierstin Allen, Abbi Allen, Skylin Wombles; sister Diana (Steve) Watts of Mt Zion, IL; and Mother-in-law Carol (Bob) Sargent of Decatur, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
