Gary Mowry

Gary E. Mowry, 75, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, MO from Cancer. Gary was born September 24, 1939, the son of Edwin E. Mowry and Ivadean Mowry. Gary was a 1957 graduate of Lakeview High School. He retired from Illinois Power, then opened Gary's Greenhouse and Landscape that he and his wife Betty operated for many years. Gary enjoyed watching Cardinals baseball and Illini basketball. Special thanks to the friends and staff of Glenwood, friends Vern, Teresa Cothern, Tom Klebe family, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and Holly Mowry for helping nearly 15 years with Gary's health issues. Gary is survived by stepson: Steven Wilson; brothers: Eric Mowry of Decatur and Larry E. Mowry of Jackson, MS; five nieces and one nephew. Gary was preceded in death by his wife Betty (Cothern), parents and niece Erin Mowry. A private family service was held Tuesday, July 7, at North Fork Cemetery. "
