Gary Kilton

Gary Robert Kilton, 57, of Decatur, IL, died at 10:15 PM Thursday, February 27, 2014, in his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, with visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or Christ United Methodist Church. Gary was born on June 3, 1956, in Decatur, IL, a son of Robert T. and Mary F. Rudisill Kilton. Gary had been a professional truck driver for his entire working career, most recently with Old Dominion Freight Line in Decatur. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Although he loved the St. Louis Cardinals, he had greater love for his grandchildren. He married Judith Knorr on November 8, 1980, in Decatur. She survives. He is also survived by his father: Robert T. Kilton, of Decatur; 3 children: Timothy Michael Knorr and wife Dawn, Carrie Marie Kilton, and Sarah Ann Kilton, all of Decatur; 4 grandchildren: Chad, Katelyn, Hailey, and Ethan; and 1 sister: Bonnie Jean Matthews and husband Scott, also of Decatur.
