G. Eileene Pfeifer, 100, of Decatur, IL, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 20, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Decatur Youth Bowling Program. The family requests casual attire.Eileene was born July 23, 1917, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Arlo Glen and Vonna Mae (Jones) Davis. She married George A. Pfeifer on September 3, 1939 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death in 2003.Eileene retired from Kemper Insurance after many years of service. She started bowling in 1941 and served as Secretary for Decatur Women’s Bowling Association. Eileene was a member of Decatur Chapter ABWA.She is survived by her daughters Rebecca (Carl) Bird of Warrensburg, IL, Cassandra (Michael) Welborn of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Scott Bird of Warrensburg and Chandra Jones of Benton, AR; great grandchildren Taylor and Alyssa Bird, Kaitlyn and Justin Jones; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great grandsons Ian and Lane Bird, one brother, one sister, and one nephew.The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers Diane, Shawna and Kim for their care and compassion to Eileene. "
