Freda Wray

Freda Wray, 89, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Massac Memorial Hospital, Metropolis, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Freda was born November 11, 1925, in Mt. Auburn, Illinois, the daughter of Orville E. and Bertha Jane (Morrison) Bailey. She married Robert E. Wray on February 14, 1948 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1971. Freda was a member of the Owen E. Scott Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She worked at A&P Grocery store for many years. She also worked as a clerk at Goldblatts and was a homemaker. She is survived by her sisters Orveta Barnes of Decatur, Mary Ellen Mizell of Metropolis, IL; niece Helen Fry, nephew Bobby Mizell, and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, daughter Linda, brother Everett Bailey, and sister Evelyn Bailey. "
