Fred Searfoss

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, March 12, 2009 with visitation from 11- 12 PM at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to: Paralyzed Veterans of America or charity of choice.Fred was born on April 29, 1918, in Avoca, PA., the son of Reuben R. and Jessie (Mitchell) Searfoss.He married Blodwyn E. Moses on June 9, 1947, in Avoca, PA. She preceded him in death on December 5, 2002.Fred served in the U.S. Army during WWII.. He worked for Borg Warner (York Division) and retired after many years. Fred was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a member of the Moose Lodge #684 in Decatur and American Legion Post #105.He is survived by his three children: Susan Barger of Decatur, IL., Sharon Mihelick and husband Doug of Peoria, IL., Brian Searfoss of Greenfield, IN and three grandchildren Rachel, Taylor, and Megan.. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and wife. "
