Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M., Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M., prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL will be assisting the family with arrangements.Frances was born August 1, 1931, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Roy and Mary Helen Gillen.She married Richard Strocher on July 22, 1949 in Decatur, IL. Frances was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked as a beautician at the former New Arts Salon; loved to bowl and play bunco and was a member of the Sweet Adalines. Frances was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals and U of I Basketball.She is survived by her husband of 59 years Richard of Decatur, IL; daughter Jami Hunter and husband Mark of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Shane Strocher, Stephanie Crowe, Brandon Hunter, Brett Hunter, Breann Hunter, Alyssa Ballard and husband Derek; great grandchildren Mackenzi, Sage, Taylor, Alexis, Mattie, Maliyah;sister Sue Binder and husband John of Hammond, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents and son Steve.The family would like to give special thanks to Heritage Manor Nursing Staff for their care and compassion.Frances will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
