Frances Heiserman

Frances M. Heiserman, 93, of Freeport, IL, formerly of Decatur, IL, died 8:50 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at F.H.N. Hospital in Freeport, IL. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2014, at Central Christian Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation 10:00 a.m. till service time. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church. Frances was born July 9, 1921, in Latham, IL, the daughter of William and Fern (Miller) Williams. She married Delbert A. Heiserman on March 3, 1951 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death in December 1983. Frances was a member of Central Christian Church. She worked for Barker Shoe Store and later for many years at JoAnn's Maternity Shop in Decatur, before retiring in 1980. Frances was past president of Lady Elks, ABWA "Golden Girls" Chapter, American Legion Post 105 Auxiliary, and Oxford House Association. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan since 1936. She is survived by her daughter Kathy (Bill) Hughes of Freeport, IL; grandchildren Michael Hughes of Gilbert, AZ, Catherine Hughes of Chicago, IL, Jennifer (Adam) Drinkall of Milledgeville, IL; 5 great grandchildren; niece Lanette Ripperdan of Decatur; great niece Alyssa Jaros of Decatur; and great nephew Jason Jaros of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Delbert, two sister-in-laws, two brother-in-laws, and one great grandchild. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. James Bock and staff for their continued care of Frances over many years. "
