Visitation: 6:00 PM on August 30, 2011 Funeral: 11:00 AM on August 31, 2011 Florence Elizabeth (Strohl) Pflum, 91, of Oakley, died Saturday, August 27, 2011, at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday August 31, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Decatur. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Cerro Gordo. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Decatur. Memorials: Family of Florence Elizabeth (Strohl) Pflum. Florence was born July 29, 1920 in Neoga, IL at her home, the daughter of George Edward and Lena Anna (Ferris) Strohl. She married Harry Charles Pflum on October 14, 1942 in Washington D.C. (Bolling Field). Florence was employed at the Naval Department in Washington D.C. during WW II. She was a loyal fan of the Cerro Gordo Broncos, a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church, and a member of Cerro Gordo P.T.A. Florence was loved by all who knew her. No one ever left her home without being fed or her presence without being comforted. Surviving are her children Ronald C. Pflum and wife Sonie of Tampa, FL, Donald E. Pflum and wife Judith of Forsyth, IL, T. Steve Pflum and wife Linda of Neoga, IL, Michael T. Pflum and wife Lois of Oakley, IL, Constance Anne Little and husband Rich of Brimfield, IL, Larry L. Pflum and wife Debra of Oakley, IL, Debra L. Henningsen and husband Brian of Atwood, IL, Victoria S. Pflum of Oakley, Jacqueline C. Hubbard and husband Dennis of Poplar Bluff, MO, Crescentia Sharon Pflum of Sullivan, IL; two brothers, George Strohl and wife Renee of Mattoon, IL, Donald Strohl of Portage, IN; one sister, Madonna M. Pierce of Mattoon, IL; 25 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Florence was preceded by her parents; husband, Harry Charles Pflum; and eight brothers and sisters. "
