Florence Gaffron

Florence Ann (Fanny) Gaffron, 88, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 5:40 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Florence was born May 21, 1924, in Decatur, the daughter of Rocco and Angelina (Grosso) Bertoldo. She married Emmitt Gaffron on January 12, 1947 in Decatur. Florence was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Emmitt of Decatur; son Mark Gaffron and wife Vicki of Forsyth; daughter Mary Ann Sowers and husband Randy of Decatur; several nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters, one grandson, and one granddaughter. "
