Ferne Bellattii

Ferne B. (Heddin) Bellatti, 100, of Forsyth, died Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 18, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-6 P.M. Tuesday, October 17, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery, Mt. Pulaski, IL. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children. Ferne was born April 17, 1917, in Oreana, the daughter of Lawrence Emerson and Golden Cleo (Koehler) Creekmur. She married Leon Heddin in 1938, and he preceded her in death. She then married Louie Bellatti in 1974. He also preceded her in death. Ferne loved being a farm wife, and enjoyed music, dancing, gardening and sewing. She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star Lalla Rookh Chapter #218, and was a past Worthy Matron. She was also a member of the Moose, Elks, and First Christian Church. Ferne is survived by her brothers, Lloyd (Mary) Creekmur of Warrensburg and Arthur Creekmur of Decatur; sisters, Mary (Happy) Ethington of Oakland and Rosalee Davis of Oreana; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Leon and Louie, brothers Clifford Leon Creekmur and Darwin Dale Creekmur, and sister Nadine Mathews.
