Evelyn Skowronski

On December 26, 2017, our precious mother, Evelyn L. Skowronski, 96, peacefully said goodbye to us and hello to Jesus.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2017, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, December 28, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.Evelyn was born April 1, 1921, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Otis and Maybelle (Barger) Booker. She married Gus Skowronski on November 20, 1940 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2008.Evelyn was a member of Parkway Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mother always had a smile and a kind word, was active in the Lord’s work and a blessing to all who knew her. She also enjoyed vacations, camping, and fishing.She is survived by her sons Don (Cheri) Skowronski, Fred (Sharon) Skowronski; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren; sister Pat (Charlie) Simpson.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and three granddaughters.The family would like to give special thanks to Heritage Manor, Mt.
