Evelyn Muir

Evelyn "Big E" (Lutterbach) Muir, 76, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away at home in Castle Rock, WA, surrounded by her loved ones January 9, 2012. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 16, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday, January 15, at the funeral home. Private family graveside services will follow the services. Evelyn was born to Ehrman and Velma (Dillman) Thomas along with her twin, Ehrman Jr., February 13, 1935 in Bellevue, KY. She was raised in Enfield, IL, and moved to the Decatur area in 1955. She later moved to Castle Rock, WA in 1986. Evelyn was a phlebotomist at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, IL, and in Atlantic City, NJ. Evelyn married Glen R. Muir in 1988, he survives her at home. Other survivors include four daughters, Vickie (Mark) Barthelemy and Debbie (Kevin) Peters, both of Decatur, Anna (Larry) Beckman of Greensboro, NC, and Teri (John) Nation of Eugene, OR; two sons, Paul (Shirley) Muir of Vancouver, WA and Nathan (Melissa) Muir of Pottstown, PA; and seven grandchildren, Makaela and Taryn Beckman, Chelse and Cody Allen, Jake Nation, Derrick Leidy, and Morgan Muir; and her faithful companion, "Taffy." Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James C. Thomas and her twin, Ehrman F.
