Funeral services will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR at a later date. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, is assisting the family.Evelyn was born February 3, 1923, in Grenada, MS, the daughter of John and Julia (Burkhalter) Brown. She married Sidney Joyner on January 1, 1946 in Clarksdale, MS. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1962.Evelyn worked as an LPN at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis, AR.She is survived by daughter Jane (Leroy) Wilson of Forsyth, IL and son Tim (Susan) Joyner of Butner, NC; grandchildren Mary (Bill) McClimon of Decatur, Kary (Rocky) Makarczyk of Smyrna, TN and Julie (Rhett) Guy of Eldridge, IA; seven great grandsons and two great granddaughters; one sister.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.The family would like to thank the staff of FairHaven Christian Home for their care, concern and compassion and give a very special thank you to Station 2.
