Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 1, 2008, at Church of the Brethren, Cerro Gordo, IL. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, July 31, at Brintlinger & Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Church of the Brethren or Cancer Care Specialists.Evelyn was born July 1, 1923, in Casner, IL, the daughter of Rex Harold and Edna Frances (Roby) Tohill. She married Charles E.Heitz on October 2, 1943 in Abilene, TX. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2003.Evelyn was a member of Church of the Brethren and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved and truly enjoyed her granddaughters and great grandchildren and her hobby quilting.She is survived by her son Ronald Heitz and wife Cheryl of Forsyth, IL; granddaughters Beth Sawyer and husband David and great grandchildren Joshua and Sadie, Paula Golden and husband Darren and great grandchild Samantha, Stephanie Bettinger and husband Justin and great grandchildren Dalton and Ian, Stacie Warren and husband Jesse and great grandchildren Madison and Colin, all of Cerro Gordo, IL; brother Lyle Bud Tohill of Cerro Gordo, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents, son Kevin and one sister.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com.
