Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church, Cerro Gordo, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter, Alzheimers Association or National Park Services. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL will be handling the arrangements.Evelyn was born July 24, 1915, in Olney, IL, the daughter of George and Mina (Glace) Bowlby. She married Olin Coffey on April 11, 1942 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1999.Evelyn was a member of Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church. She worked for Houdaille-Hershey as an Administrative Assistant and was awarded the Atomic Bomb Project Pin while working there. Evelyn graduated from Browns Business College in Decatur, IL and was 22nd Precinct Committee Chairperson for the Democratic Party. She was an active partner on the farm and enjoyed working with her husband.Evelyn is survived by her daughter Judy Louise Bowlby and husband Jeff Anderson of Maple Park, IL; son Robert Dale Bowlby and wife Linda of Cerro Gordo, IL; grandchildren Angela Foran, Kimberly and Laura Anderson; brother Marshall Bowlby and wife Bonnie of Decatur, IL; many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 56 years Olin, brothers George Jr., Robert, and Victor Bowlby and sister Margaret Hazelrigg.Known as Auntie to her beloved and extended family, she touched generations of lives by offering love and support to all. She shared her attic of toys with hundreds of kids. Many nieces and nephews learned love and life skills working on the farm during summers, and were treated to farm-style meals by the best cook ever.She dedicated her life to helping make the lives of others better and will forever remain in our hearts. "
