On June 20th 2009, Ernest Lee Fleming left his loved ones to be with the Lord.A funeral service will be held 10 AM, Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials have been suggested to the Ernest Lee Fleming Memorial Fund in care of Jeannie Newberry.Lee was born in Taylorville, IL on Feb. 6th, 1951, the son of Gerald D. And Minnie E. (Taylor- Butts) Fleming. He married Carmen Corn on Dec. 21st 1972. She preceded him in death. Lee was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam conflict. Lee worked for John Beiler Construction for 14 years. He also worked for Revere for five years. He was an avid race car fan and Jeff Gordon fan and loved to go dirt track racing especially with his grandson Cody. He was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God and the Decatur Jaycees.Surviving are his six children Tammy Fleming and Paul, Jennifer (Fleming) Esparza and Oscar, Heather Ring and Donnie, Jeannie Newberry and Jock, Dana Stolte and Shane, and Mindy Fowler and Nate. Also surviving are his two sisters Becky Miles and Dave Carolanne Butts and 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Especially his friend Sandy Hasinger. He was preceded in death by his wife, mother, father, step-father, son-in-law, cousin and three grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. "
