Erla Salefski

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 23, 2009, at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Johns Lutheran Church. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL will be handling the arrangements.Erla was born May 6, 1917, in Emery, IL, the daughter of Grace Gladys (Eaglin) and Ray Earl Collins. She married Walter F. Salefski on January 25, 1941. He preceded her in death in May, 1984.Erla was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. She was a seamstress for many years, retiring from Peacock Cleaners. Erla was a dedicated St. Louis Cardinal fan.She is survived by her daughter-in-law Nancy Salefski of Decatur, IL; grandson Shawn Salefski of Phoenix, AZ; brother Earl Collins of Decatur, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Larry Salefski, and sister Pauline Eades.The family would like to give special thanks to everyone at Fair Havens Christian Home for their excellent care of Erla.
