Emily Hoffman

Emily R. Hoffman, 90, of Mt. Zion passed away September 16, 2018 at Heritage Health. Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Emily was born April 21, 1928 in Clearspring, IN, the daughter of Paul Raymond and Julia (Payne) Keithley. She married Lyle Hoffman on November 21, 1957 in Decatur. She worked at JC Penney and was a homemaker. She loved gardening and always had a beautiful flower garden and even took care of the flowers at The Glenwood in Mt. Zion. Emily attended Tabernacle Baptist Church, Decatur. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Zilz (Bob) of Argenta; son, Brian Hoffman (special friend, Linda) of Decatur; grandsons, Mitch Earhart (Megan) of Peoria and Brett Earhart of San Diego, CA; and great-grandchild, Reece Earhart. Emily was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle Hoffman; and brother, Dean Keithley. Emily’s family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at The Glenwood and Heritage Health in Mt. Zion for their loving care. "
