Elvira Stopher

Elvira B. Stopher, 91, of Mt. Pulaski, IL, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019, in Springfield, IL. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Steenbergen Chapel, Steenbergen Cemetery, Mt. Pulaski, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pulaski Christian Church or Niantic Christian Church. Elvira was born September 5, 1927, in Mt. Pulaski, IL, daughter of Walter and Letha (Weishaar) Drobisch. She married John A. Stopher March 27, 1946, in Lincoln, IL. He preceded her in death January 16, 2006. Elvira was a member of Mt. Pulaski Christian Church. Surviving is her son Steve Stopher and wife Kathy of Niantic, IL; grandchildren, Darrin Stopher of Jefferson City, MO, Tammy Lercher and husband Mark of Raymond, IL, and Nicholas Stopher of Novi, MI; and great-grandsons, Bradley and Drake. Elvira was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Miller Drobisch. "
