Elva Wall

Elva L. Wall, 99, of Decatur, IL, passed away 2:50 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2014, at Aperion Care of Decatur, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be 11:15 a.m., Monday, October 27, 2014 at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 27, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Donor's Choice. Elva was born March 3, 1915 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Frank L. and Dot (McDaniel) Nanna. She married William H. Wall on August 24, 1936 in Peru, IL. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2007. Elva volunteered at St. Mary's Auxiliary for 40 years. She was a member of the Decatur Promenaders Square Dance Club and Soy City Circlers, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She is survived by her children Mary Allsup and husband John of Decatur, IL, Elva Ruth Anne Ferris and husband Lynn of Douglasville, GA, William L. Wall and wife Maria of Florence, AL; grandchildren John Allsup and wife Dana, Jeff Allsup and wife Becky, Kathy Spaugh and husband Randy, Sheila Competello and husband Pete, Tim Ferris and wife Ellen, Bill Wall and wife Melanie, Frank Wall and wife Tricia; 9 great grandchildren; and sister Imogene Shepherd of Decatur, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son John, and sister Dorothy.
