Elsie Lecrone

Elsie I. LeCrone, 96, of Decatur, IL, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016, at Fair Havens Christian Home, Decatur, IL. Memorial services will be 6 p.m., Thursday, June 16, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Inurnment will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 17, in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL.Memorials may be made to Prairie Avenue Christian Church.Elsie was born July 20, 1919, in Clarksburg, IL, the daughter of Robert Lewis and Martha Elizabeth (Dale) Boyd. She married Charles Henry LeCrone in 1938 in Sullivan, IL. He preceded her in death in August of 1973.Elsie worked for Block & Kuhl, Myers Brothers, Carson-Pirie Scott and Bergners retail stores. She was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church.She is survived by her son Larry (Patricia Lay) LeCrone of Urbana, IL; grandchildren Brenda (Jim) Seaberg of Decatur, Suzette (David) Rood of N. Aurora, IL, Julie Glevicky of Urbana, IL; step grandchildren Teresa Peterson of Lyons, NC, Pam Hendrix of Peru, IN; 10 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; special niece Sarah (Jerry) Nieft of Independence, MO; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, four sisters, grandson Patrick, and longtime companion Harry Blackburn.
