Eloise Lamb, 90, of Decatur, went to be with her Savior, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Imboden Creek Living Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, February 13, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 4-6 P.M. Sunday, February 12, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Mrs. Lamb was born January 22, 1922, in Urbana, the daughter of Russell and Virginia (Leach) Montgomery. She married Ernest V. Lamb June 11, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1998. Mrs. Lamb graduated from Tuscola Community High School in 1940. During WWII, she worked for the Caterpillar Military Engine Company as a tool designer. She later worked at Houdaille-Hershey Auto Parts, Schnepp Associates, General Electric as a Group Leader at the Changer Plant, and Borg Warner. Both she and Ernie retired in 1981. Mrs. Lamb was an active member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church for over 55 years. She loved to travel and visit family and friends. She traveled all over the U.S. and to Germany and Spain. She was an avid Illinois sports fan, and loved the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and the Illini. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, and especially playing Bingo and cards with her friends. She is survived by her son Gary Lamb and wife Lesley of Plano, TX; sister Barbara McCool of Decatur; grandchildren: Stephanie Roberts and husband David of Plano, TX, Alyson Burrous Clemens of Oregon City, OR, Ryan and Tonia Oliver of Oregon City, OR; great grandchildren: Sam and Jack Roberts, Mackenzie Clemens, Nicole and Allie Oliver. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Sandra Burrous, and brothers, Raymond Montgomery and Charles Montgomery. "
