Ella Lucile Davenport, 91, of Crossville, IL, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville, IN. She was born May 4, 1922, in Greenville, IL, the daughter of Walter A. and Drucella Sarah (Morgan) Donaldson. She was married to Robert Rollinger and he preceded her in death. She later married John Goodbrake and he preceded her in death in 1974. On July 3, 1976, she married George Hal Davenport, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2014. Lucile was a member of the Second Church of God in Decatur, IL. She was very outgoing and enjoyed assisting her husband, George, with his magic presentations and the two of them were the long-time parade marshals for Crossville's Fall Festival. She loved to make up games to play with her grandchildren and was said to be the best jacks player in Illinois. Many of her pastimes include crossword puzzles, cooking, traveling, writing poetry, and being in the outdoors. Early in her career, she worked for Kelly Potato Chip Company in Decatur and was loved by her coworkers, many of which were her "children". She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include son Bobby Rollinger; stepsons George Wayne Davenport, John Goodbrake, Dale Goodbrake, Jimmy Goodbrake, Ronnie Goodbrake; daughters Rose Crane, Dot Burnett; stepdaughters Lee Cobb, Peggy Davenport, Mary Lou Eckert; grandchildren Danny Pirtle, Randy Pirtle, David Pirtle, Sally Hackney, Laney Maulden, Russell Maulden, Ray Maulden, Virgie Walston, Barry Maulden, Gary Maulden, Steve Reynolds, Debbie Turney, Lori Leihser, Cathy Saffer, Rod Simpson, Joy Blazer; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; children Sarah Burroughs, Helen Pullins; stepchildren Shirley Pierce, Karen Johnson; grandson Ricky Pirtle; great grandson Kyle Turney; great grandchildren Michael Hackney Jr. and Jennifer Hackney. Visitation is 6-8 pm, Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Crossville. Lucile will then be transported to Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, 2827 North Oakland Avenue, Decatur, IL 62526, for another visitation 6-8 pm, Friday, March 14th, with funeral at 10 am, Saturday, March 15th and burial in Harristown Cemetery in Harristown, IL. "
