Eleanor Varner

Eleanor Varner, 90, of Decatur IL peacefully passed away May 18, 2019 in Decatur. She was born February 28, 1929. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Decatur IL and member of Decatur Chapter OES for over 50 years. She retired in 1991 from N&S railroad where she worked in the office for many years. Eleanor is survived by her daughter Cynthia Ortega (IN), grandson Seth Hood (Cassie), granddaughter Briana (Hood) Dickerson (Eric) (IN), and great granddaughters Eriana and Willow Dickerson (IN). She is preceded in death by her husband Cecil, daughter Ginger, mother Lucille Minton and many aunts, uncles, cousins. Visitation will be Thursday May 23, 2019 from 9am-11am. Service to follow at 11am located at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home on Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL. A Farewell service by Eastern Star will be presented before the funeral service. Graveside service will follow the funeral service at Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta, IL. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society in Memory of Ginger Varner. "
