Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 20, at Brintlinger and Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service time. The family requests casual attire. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Brethren Church of Cerro Gordo, 209 S. Jefferson, Cerro Gordo, IL 61818, or Cerro Gordo Church of the Brethren, 102 E. Durfee, Cerro Gordo, IL 61818.Ruth was born July 26, 1924, in Lintner, IL, the daughter of Tivis and Fannie Jane (Stone) OField. She married Roy Richard Buster Marvin December 16, 1944, in Cerro Gordo. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1973. Ruth worked as a custodian with the Cerro Gordo School District for 20 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, working on her scrap books, and she liked to quilt, cook, fish, and dance. She was a den mother for the cub scouts and a member of the Church of the Brethren.Ruth is survived by her sons: Richard Dick Eugene Marvin and wife Nancy of Cerro Gordo, and Terry Lynn Marvin and wife Susan R. of Cerro Gordo; brother Homer OField of Decatur; grandchildren Teresa Russell and husband Tim of Champaign; Mark Marvin and wife Carrie of Tolono, Greg Marvin and wife Brandy, Tim Marvin, Millissa Priddy and husband Jared, all of North Carolina; great grandchildren: Colton Russell, Keegan Russell, Noah Marvin, Cameron Marvin, Tyson and Katie Marvin, Kyleigh Marvin, Isaac Marvin, Lauren and Natalee Marvin.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Blanche Gregg and Imogene Patrick. "
