Eleanor Hiser

Eleanor Eloise Hiser, 94, of Bloomington, IL, formerly of Decatur, IL, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the Sugar Creek Care Facility, Normal, IL. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 17, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 9:30 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Cerro Gordo High School Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund. Mrs. Hiser was born November 4, 1917, in rural Piatt County, the daughter of George Milton and Maude (Hyatt) Wallace. She married Jack Hiser on August 9, 1941, in Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 28, 1997. Mrs. Hiser was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bridge. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church, Decatur. Mrs. Hiser is survived by her daughter Carol Foy and husband Robert of Bloomington; sister-in-law Ruth Wallace of Standford, IL; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and five brothers. "
