Eleanor Gauble

As per Eleanors wishes, her body was donated to the Anatomical Gift Association. There will be no services. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials have been suggested to Grace United Methodist Church.Eleanor was born July 21, 1918, in Blandinsville, IL, the daughter of Brooks and Eileen (Gordon) Soland. She married Clifford F. Gauble on December 22, 1938.Eleanor previously worked as an office manager for Mount Insurance in Girard, IL for many years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and took great joy serving as a volunteer at the church thrift shop. She also enjoyed activities with her friends in the Violet Club.Surviving are her sons Lance (Becky) Gauble of Decatur, IL and Mike (Kay) Gauble of Chesterfield, MO. Also surviving are her granddaughter Shani (Tronnie) Goss of Decatur, IL, great-grandson Alec Goss of Decatur, IL, sister Karen (Joe) Cindrich of Menlo Park, CA, brother Larry Soland of Rome, GA; and special friend Jonathan Boerger of Decatur, IL.Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Clifford; brothers William Soland and Jimmy Soland.The family would like to express special thanks to the nurses of 5400 at DMH and to Debbie from DMH Hospice.
