Eleanor Fuiks

Eleanor Jane Fuiks, 84, of Decatur, IL.,formerly of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Thursday (04-12-2012) at Heartland Health Care Center, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (04-21-2012) at 11:00 A.M. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to: Alzheimer's Association. Eleanor was born on August 20, 1927 in Omaha, NE., the daughter of Griffith Humphrey and Elsie (Behrman) Humphrey. She married William E. Fuiks on July 3, 1949 in Glenwood, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2009. They were married 60 years. Eleanor worked at Kansas City White Goods as their office manager and bookkeeper for 30 years. She is survived by her daughter: Cheryl Chamblin and husband Richard of Decatur, IL.; son: Michael Fuiks and wife Kasia of Brevard, N.C.; 3 grandchildren: David Wasserkrug and wife Kim of Forsyth, IL., Jonathan Wasserkrug and wife Heather of Lee's Summit, MO., and Mara Fuiks of Brevard, N.C.; 5 great-grandchildren: Hannah, Ava, Vivian, Leyton, and Alex Wasserkrug.; one sister: Elaine Harris of Evergreen, CO.; one brother: Robert Humphrey of Omaha, NE.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Richard Humphrey. "
