A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, at St. Patricks Catholic Church, with visitation to follow. Inurnment will be at St. Vincents Catholic Cemetery, Elkhart, Indiana, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to St. Teresa High School, Decatur, IL.Eleanor was born November 18, 1916 in Elkhart, Indiana, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Claude Fleming. She married John F. Foy on December 28, 1938, at Notre Dame Cathedral in South Bend, Indiana. Eleanor graduated from Rosary College, South Bend, IN. Eleanor was a teacher and taught at Holy Family School and later at Harristown Grade School. She was a member of Decatur Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary and a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church. She loved golf, playing bridge and reading. Eleanor and John retired in Ft. Myers, FL, and enjoyed 25 years of Florida sunshine. Surviving are Eleanors five children, Jack (wife, Betty) Foy of New Bern, NC; Tom (wife, Pearl) Foy of Mesa, AZ; Pat (husband, Pat) Julien of Fox River Grove, IL; Bob (wife, Carol) Foy of Bloomington, IL; Luci Boles of Decatur.Preceding in death are both parents; her husband, John; infant son Michael Allan; stepmother Lucille Fleming.The family would like to thank Dr. McCormack and the staff of Imboden Creek Living Center. The family was very touched by the loving care given to Eleanor by the entire staff at Imboden.
