Eleanor Ferre

Ellie Ferre(May 8, 1923 - July 28, 2019)Eleanor M. Ferre, 96, of Decatur, IL entered Heaven on Sunday July 28, 2019 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Eleanor was born in Boody, IL, and graduated from Blue Mound High School in 1941. She worked at Kroger’s for 20 yrs. and had many long time customers wait in line to check out with her, who became lifetime friends. She was the daughter of Will and Flossie (Davis) Sadler. Eleanor was preceded by her parents, sisters: Evelyn McClure, Mildred Dunbar, and brother Harold Sadler. She is survived by her four children: Michael (Amelia), Richard (Billie), Ronald (Robin) and Melody Gilman (Dave); nine grandchildren: Rich, Linda, Christopher, Eric, Michelle, Taylor, Jaime, Ryan, and Trevor; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Linda Sadler; Charlese Bower (Mother of Rich and Linda) and Lee Bower.She was loved and will be missed by all.
