Eileen Meixner

Eileen M. Meixner, 95, of Decatur passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in Decatur Memorial Hospital Hospice. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Monday, April 23, in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Eileen was born on June 12, 1922, in Decatur the daughter of William and Bertha (Kotzelnick) Godfrey. She married Frederick J. Meixner September 6, 1940 in St. Charles, Missouri. She worked for Marvel-Schebler/Tollotson Division Borg Warner in Decatur from 1950 until retirement March 30, 1983. Eileen was a long time member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Decatur and was a quilter in the church. Surviving is her son Robert Meixner and daughter-in-law Marta (Casaccia) Meixner of Vienna, Virginia; grandchildren Robert Meixner Jr, (Kristie), R. Carlos Meixner (Meredith) and John Meixner all of Virginia; great-grandchildren Ryan Meixner, Gabrielle Meixner, John "Jack" Meixner and Hannah Meixner all of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Clarence, James "Scoop", William Jr. and Sister Betty Jozsa. "
