Eileen Katchmar

Eileen F. Katchmar, 99, of Decatur, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 3, in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL. Memorials may be made to Starr Farm for Therapeutic and Recreational Riding, 3180 S. Mt. Zion Rd., Decatur, IL 62521. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Eileen was born March 8, 1918, in Decatur, IL, daughter of Harry and Grace Marie (Fisher) Cooper. She married Ronald Lindberg, he preceded her in death. She later married Richard Katchmar and he also preceded her in death.Eileen was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church. She was a Unit Manager at Decatur Memorial Hospital, retiring after 25 years of service. Eileen enjoyed going to rummage sales, collecting glassware, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.Surviving are her daughters: Sandra Lindberg and Carmen Askins (Joe Garrett); grandchildren: Lee Ann Tapscott, Ronald (Sue) Tapscott, Michael (Laura) Puckett, Annette (Jon) Viernum, and Gary (Staci) Bonds; great-grandchildren: Matt Ellegood, Alex (Gabby) Puckett, Thomas Puckett, Dalton Brownlow, Samantha Bonds, Andrew Kovaleski, and Grace Elizabeth Bonds; and very precious great-great-granddaughter: Aveline Jane Puckett.Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one brother and three sisters.
