Edwin V. Milanski, 82, of Decatur died at 3:40 AM, Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM Friday, June 22, 2012 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at Boiling Springs Cemetery and will include a New Orleans Style Jazz Procession. Military rites will be conducted by Macon County Honor Guard and US Army Funeral Honors Detail, with Taps performed by grandsons, Benjamine and Adam Elwood. Memorials: American Cancer Society Edwin was born October 14, 1929 in Chicago, the son of Vincent and Katherine (Krzanowska) Milanski. He married Eileen Mary Hoelterhoff on January 28, 1950 in Chicago, IL. She preceded him in death on January 31, 2006. Mr. Milanski was an engineer, and was one of the founders of the engineer consulting firm, Bainbridge Gee Milanski & Associates, Inc. He was a graduate of U of I, Civil Engineering. Edwin was a a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and was a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving are his three children, Thomas Milanski and wife Deanna of Clinton, IL, Anne Elwood and husband Robert of Yorkville, IL, and John Milanski and wife Rebecca of Louisville, CO; grandchildren, Rosamond and Carlee, Benjamin, Adam and Jacob and one sister, Florence Rusnak and husband Paul of Chicago, IL. Mr. Milanski was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Genevieve (Virg) and Evelyn. "
