Edwin Good

Edwin Harry Good, 92, of Decatur, IL passed away on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 in Sullivan, IL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10:00am Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Cerro Gordo, IL with the Rev. Steve DeVore, Antioch Christian Church, officiating. The visitation will be on Sunday, Jan. 25 from 3-5:00pm at the Cerro Gordo funeral home. Burial will be in the Cerro Gordo Cemetery; Cerro Gordo, IL. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association. Edwin was born on October 18, 1922 in Macon County, IL, the son of Harry and Fleta A. (Reisinger) Good. He married Dorothy M. Oliver on Feb. 14, 1946 in Princeton, IL and she preceded him in death on October 20, 1998. Edwin was a farmer in Macon County his entire life, retiring in 2008. Edwin is survived by his four children; Linda Good of Decatur, IL; Joan E. Mochel of Decatur, IL; Christine (Duane) Downs of Moweaqua, IL; and Kenneth (Lori) Good of Decatur, IL. Edwin is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jay Mochel, Aaron (Melissa) Downs, Drew Downs, Maggie (Corey) Eadie, Jennifer (Caleb) Colbert, Jessica Good and Trevor Good; five great-grandchildren: Hunter Mochel, Lance Mochel, Spencer Colbert, Reagan Colbert and Howie Downs; and sister, Alberta Standfield of Hazelwood, MO. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister Thelma Lollie, and one brother Richard Good. The family would like to thank the Sullivan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for the excellent care, kindness, and compassion. "
