A funeral service and Masonic rites will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 8, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL where the family will meet with friends one hour prior to services. Burial will be at the Point Pleasant Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the donors choice. Edward was born May 5, 1923 in Decatur, IL, the son of, Charles and Dollie (Warden) Kelly. He married Louise LeHew October 26, 1946 in Decatur, IL. Edward served honorably in World War II with the United States Air Force. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company last serving as a quality control inspector and was a past president of the Local 751, United Auto Workers, AFL-CIO . Edward was a member of Ewing Masonic Lodge #149 in Effingham, IL, a Master Mason for more than 55 years, including being the band director of the Zohak Grotto Band in Decatur. In May, 1997, Edward was accepted as a Worthy Noble of the Mystic Shrine in the El Zaribah Temple of Phoenix, AZ. Edward was a Master of the Royal Secret of the 32 Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Surviving are his wife Louise of Hot Springs Village, AR.; son, Thomas M. ( wife, Teresa ) Kelly of Pocahontas, IL; son, Patrick J. ( wife, Darlene ) Kelly of Casa Grande, AZ; daughter, Joyce L. ( husband, Jim ) Jenkins of Hot Springs Village, AR,; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Preceding in death are both parents, seven brothers, two sisters, and one grandson.
