Edward Brackett

Edward Dale Brackett, 58, of Mt. Zion, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, July 23, at First Church of the Nazarene, Decatur. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Friday, July 22 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Memorials may be made to Decatur First Church of the Nazarene or the education fund for his grandson. Edward was born January 1, 1958, in Decatur, IL, the son of Edward E. and Patricia L. (Hart) Brackett. Edward was a member of First Church of the Nazarene where he served as an usher. He was a construction worker and 40 year member of Local #159 and Local #703. Edward enjoyed bow hunting, camping, fishing and mushroom hunting. Surviving are his son: Edward D. Brackett of Bloomington, IL; daughter: Jennifer K. (Jerry) Butler of Mt. Zion, IL; son Chad E. Brackett of Decatur, IL; mother: Patricia Brackett of Decatur, IL; grandson: Jerrick W. Butler of Mt. Zion, IL; sister: Pamela L. (Randy) Shumard of Bement, IL; brother: Bart Brackett of Pierson, IL; several nieces and great nieces; one great nephew and one great-great-nephew.Edward was preceded in death by his father. "
