Edward Bean

Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 16, 2010, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Family will greet friends after the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, Hospice House, In Memory of: Edward Bean, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.Edward was born July 23, 1936 in Moweaqua, IL, the son of Ruth (Nixon) and Orville L. Bean. He married the love of his life Judith K. Jones on December 8, 1967. She proceeded him in death on February 18, 2009. Mr. Bean was employed by Firestone Decatur plant from March 18, 1960 until November 1, 1991. After he and Judi retired, they enjoyed 18 wonderful years together in Arkansas, boating, fishing and gardening. He served on the City Council and was a volunteer for Bull Shoals Theatre. Mr. Bean was a U.S. National Guard and Army Reserve veteran, serving from 1954 to 1959. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose since 1978, member of Decatur IL Lodge #684, and member for 32 years with the American Legion Post #105.He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Mike) Boggs of Sanford, FL, Rebecca (Paul) Hoseth of Mountain Home, AR, Patricia (Daniel) DeMark of Maroa, IL; grandchildren Sarah, Katherine, Shelby, Mason and Lindsay; brothers Teddy and Jerry Bean; sister Martha Rambo.
