Edgar Raymond

Edgar L. Raymond, 81, of Decatur, IL, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Edgar was born August 2, 1930, at home in Plymouth, (McDonald County), IL, the son of Clarence and Ruth Raymond. He married Louise Ellen Vyeda, on August 3, 1955, in Carson City, NV. Edgar was owner/operator of Raymond Floor Covering for 40 years. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and raising a garden in the summertime with his children. Edgar was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea. He is survived by his wife Louise Ellen; children Barbera Ballinuas and husband Norman of Madison, WI, Claudia Friesel of Boise, Idaho, Melanie Allison and husband Jerry of Clovis, CA, Mark A. Raymond and wife Peggy of Watsonville, CA, Matt Raymond and wife Julie of Clovis, CA; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers Dick Raymond of Wilmington, DE, Gene Raymond of Bushnel, IL; sisters Lois Howlett of Decatur, IL, Betty Shelly of Colchester, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents. "
