E. Rhodes

E. Ruth Rhodes, 73, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Friday, November 28, 2014. Visitation will be 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m Tuesday, December 2, with a funeral service following at 6:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Decatur. Burial will be at a later date in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church. Ruth was born August 19, 1941, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Fred Sr. and Eleanor (Mueller) Monska. She married Fred Rhodes on November 18, 1966, in Decatur. Ruth was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She worked as a food service manager for the Department of Corrections, and also owned and operated along with her husband Fred, A Touch of Glass in the Wabash Depot Antique Centre. Ruth enjoyed traveling, flea markets, antiquing, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her husband: Fred of Decatur, IL; children: Rhonda (Ron) Dingus of Kingsport, TN, Stacey (Rodney) Wildman of Oakley, IL, and Jeff (Pennie) Rhodes of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Jeremy (Jenny) Johnson, Holly (Robert) Rodriguez, Courtney Wildman, Callie Wildman, Colten Wildman, Rylie Rhodes; great-grandchildren: Addison Rodriguez, Gage Rodriguez, Christopher Rodriguez, Gideon Johnson; and brother: Fred (Barbara) Monska of Decatur, IL. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents. "
