Douglas Keith (D.K.) Stallard, 73, of Decatur, IL, died 7:40 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2014, at his residence. Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Crest Haven Cemetery, Olney, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 13 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Humane Society. Douglas was born March 26, 1941 in Olney, IL, the son of Cecil Edward and Leta Irene (Koertge) Stallard. He married Marjorie Mattoon in 1962 in Olney, IL. He later married Sylvia Sue Cushman in 1982. Douglas graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science. He was former owner of S & S Appraisal Service and was a farm appraiser for 25 years for Millikin National Bank. Douglas was a Thoroughbred Race Horse Trainer - Breeder and a Accredited Farm Manager and Accredited Rural Appraiser. He is survived by his son Scott Stallard of Decatur, IL; daughter Andrea (Scott) Fairchild of Clarendon Hills, IL; grandson Andrew Fairchild; stepson Eric Cushman of Decatur, IL; step granddaughter Alexa Cushman. He was preceded in death by his parents. "
