Douglas Muth

Douglas A. Muth, 83, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at McKinley Court Care Center, Decatur. There will be no services per Doug's request. Cremation rites will be observed. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family. Doug was born March 27, 1931, in Mason City, Iowa to Lester and Ruth Muth. Doug graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 1950. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Navy. Doug owned and operated several business and retired from his last endeavor, The Feed Lot Restaurant in Mt. Zion, IL. Doug is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joan of Decatur, IL; daughter: Kari Muth of Largo, FL, son: Scott (Michelle) Muth of Decatur, IL, John (Kathy) Owens of Jensen Beach, FL, Pam Owens of Decatur, IL, Deb Owens of Mattoon, IL, and Cathy Patrick of Mattoon, IL. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. "
