Dorothy Dolores Wilkerson, 77, of Maroa, IL, died 4:29 P.M., Monday, April 2, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 12:30 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Dolores was born June 26, 1934, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Henry and Dorothy (Barnett) Karlowski. She married Richard "Gene" Wilkerson on September 21, 1952. Dolores was a former assistant manager at Catherine's and most recently was the deli assistant and "pie lady" for IGA in Clinton, IL. She enjoyed her job and loved cooking and keeping house. Dolores was a previous member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband Gene of Maroa, IL; daughter Gail Jean Wilkerson of Maroa, IL; son Richard E. Wilkerson, Jr. (Katrina) of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Michael R. and Laura Jean Wilkerson; brother Tom Karlowski of Decatur, IL; sister Esther Miller of Decatur, IL; brothers-in-law Chuck, Jim (Judy) Wilkerson; sister-in-law Clara Waite (Ron), Barb Wilkerson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. "
