Dorothy Thompson

Dorothy E. Thompson, age 99, of Cerro Gordo, IL and longtime resident of Denver, CO passed away on June 12, 2019. Dorothy was born and raised in Cerro Gordo, IL where she met and married the love of her life, William J. Thompson in 1938. Dorothy and Bill farmed in Cerro Gordo for over 40 years and raised their daughter, Judy. She spent most of her life in Cerro Gordo helping Bill maintain their family farm before they retired and relocated to Denver to be closer to their family. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late William J. Thompson, and devoted mother of the late Judy Dreyer. She will be lovingly remembered by her son in law, Ted Dreyer, grandchildren, Sandi (Gary) Coate and Steve Dreyer (Judy Smith) and great grandchildren, Chris (Kirstyn) Coate and Tim (Taylar) Coate. All are welcome to attend the graveside service which will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019, 10:30 AM at the Cerro Gordo Cemetery.
